为配合学校国际化战略与应用型人才培养导向，搭建英语交流的平台，让同学们在轻松、真实的语境中提高英语语言综合运用能力，同时也为我校参加全国英语演讲大赛储备优秀学生，语言文学学院2018年4月12日至2018年6月14日开展了为期十期的英语角活动。

本学期英语角启动了全校低年级的培优计划。参加者为每个班精选的两名英语口语优秀的同学，从期通过以点带面的方式，推动其他同学重视语言应用能力，加强语言操练，提高语言表达能力。英语角的组织方式也呈现多样化，或在明德楼大厅进行环形讨论，或在教室内进行小组辩论。每期均有指导教师通过英语角QQ群发送实时动态和英文总结。

第五期英语角话题“Dating/Love”

Distance makes two hearts closer. Renee came up with 13 questions about love between boys and girls. Some questions were romantic, while some were realistic. Students thought deeply and shared their exciting opinions. One girl even shared with us her love story by fluent English. Richard encouraged students by his passion and magical laugh. It was an interesting time for students to discuss such a beautiful topic which is full of contradictions. Let’s date with English, then you will get more gorgeous cultural stories.

第四期英语角话题“Beauty”

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Renee came up with 12 questions about beauty for students to think about and led them to think deeply. Richard hosted the English corner. Many students shared their opinions while others listened carefully. Continue and practice, then you will find the beauty in English.

本学期英语角的话题全部由外教提供，学生在他们的启发下，讨论由浅入深，带入现实意义，让学生有话可说。大部分同学能融入到纯英语口语表达的情境中，在外教不断的鼓励和引导下，害羞胆小和不自信的同学们逐渐克服了心理障碍，主动开口、大胆上台汇报展示。学生反映热烈，积极性高，达到了预期的效果。
